Well as i'm typing this, all curled up under a blanket, with my laptop in my lap, and watching the rain hit the windows, I'm debating wether or not to call in sick. Not because of the weather, but because of how I feel, like crap.
But before I go pick up the phone, I wish to apologize to the people who got the wrong impression of my opinion on Doom 3, tuesday. There is nothing wrong with the game, it has superb specular effects, and excellent lighting. But compared to the hype it got, it was undeserving of the praise. Yes it was an excellent VISUAL game (kinda like Unreal II was for the Unreal series), but the gameplay was way too repetitive. The game was an excellent show for the power of the new engine, but it did nothing for the storyline.
But again, thats just my $.02 (dunno what the conversion is for you Euro readers) |

Actually the (original) expression is something along the lines of: "That's my two pence worth.", meaning already a European currency.
Of course we're talking England here, so it's not really the default European currency, (the Euro or €) anyway.
As for Doom III...
I haven't tried it yet, but I am very afraid it will be a let down after all the hype.
No, actually I don't, because I didn't buy the hype to begin with.
I'll just try the game at a friend's sometime and decide for myself.
That's probably the best way to judge a game. |
