HL2 file size

how big is HL2? how much space does it take up? installed and not installed, and does it come on DVD? or howmany CDs? and is there a difference in steam file size and retail?

4.5 gigs is recommended on teh box. Yes it comes in DVD form for about 25-30 bucks more (you get HL source, DoD source, T-shirt, strat guide, HL2, and CS: source). No clue on the filesizes comparision between retail and Steam. I would assume Steam would eventually be larger since it would incorporate patches.

but i would only buy it if i can get some sort of multi player, so is there like a HL2 + CS(2) set? and how much will that cost.

The basic version is HL2 & CS:S. No other multiplayer yet but I am sure the community will add online mods.

Do you never buy games or something? I think that HL2's extreme copyright protection is going to be the future of all games thanx to lame warez monkeys.

LOL, what protection? it was the simplest ever!!
just dload, unrar, and start.. not even have to instal, or CD key.. or no CD crack.. nuthing Razz

for one cheetah....valve released that pirated version to the net as an experiment....

second....steam is the copyright protection seeing how it is MANDATORY that you register on there servers to play even single-player

lol, it sayed that if you used that key, then you got a problem. but i dident even have to fill in a key:P

question tho:
iv read a ReView in a dutch magazine about HL2. but the game started different there (so it looked like as they told it) is this becouse they got a preview code? i think they got the full game. but someone who owns (bought) HL2. please answer this questions:
do you get the gravity gun at the beginning? i already got the crowbar, pistol, submachine gun and grenades. it also sayed that after the pistol you pick up a magnum... havtn seen it..
and at the beginning, when the hot girl with the tight ass guides you to the lab of that doctor, what does she do? i only saw her jump over a railing of stairs and jump down, instead of just walking down the stairs. but in the review they say shes also sitting down somewhere and doing some more stuff...
how does your game begin? when do you get what weapons?

im not doing that, im just asking how the game starts, and about the weapons.. if its availible in stores here in the netherlands, il get it either today, or atleast withing this week.
about that MP thing on the frontpage, is that already released? or when does it come? do you have to serperatly buy it? and how do i launch CS?
