Epic Games producer Jeff Morris sat down with the chaps at HomeLAN Fed for a question and answer session. In this session they cover 2004's games as well as video game titles in 2005 he is looking forward to. It seems that Mr. Morris enjoys the realistic first person shooters more than I expected. He hailed the brilliance of Joint Ops as well as his interest in Battlefield 2. Personally, I would rather play UT 2004 any day over either of these titles. But you all should know by now I dislike realistic first person shooters. The also cover the game in 2004 that most disappointed Mr. Morris:

HomeLAN - What video or PC game that was released in 2004 that you played was the most disappointing and why?
Jeff Morris - Modern games are so complicated that there is usually plenty to like, even in ones that get shelved the same night to buy them. I had unrealistically high expectations for Star Wars: Battlefront, so I really couldn’t help but be disappointed. The in-game NPCs and map features (like the Sarlak pit on Tatoonie) were great, but I found the vehicle controls twitchy and weapon diversity kind of bland. I played the game loads, but ultimately was left feeling kind of meh. It seemed to need a little more polish. |
I am not exactly sure what Mr. Morris expected out of Battlefront. I was very excited about this title and it lived up to my expectations. The weapon diversity seems on par with all Battlefield titles and the twitchy vehicle controls are non-existent to me. I guess all those Onslaught games have paid off for me. Anyway, you can check the full article by visiting HomeLAN Fed. |
