Okay time for a little break from all of the UT2004 madness. As most of you know I was at Gearbox Software this past weekend to preview Halo PC. Well the team not only released screenshots the I took but some new ones as well. Below is the a shot that I took and I will have all of the other when my preview is up next week. One of the reasons I took this shot was because of the way newer cards handle the pixel shader effects and in turn makes the water look even better. If you can't wait on my preview you can read some of the Halo fansites that were there. |

THe game is probably really fun, but after all this time, the visuals are not quite to par, except maybe the vehicles and player models.
(that invisibility effect is kickass however )
This post is in reference to the screens at the linked site. |

Halo PC looks terrible in comparison to UT2003/4. Halo2 is comming to Xbox and now Bungie is bringing Halo1 to pc, that kinda sucks imo. UT2004 will own Halo in every aspect /me thinks. |

I will not buy Halo because Bungie sold out to Microsoft. The first Halo should have been out on PC but the sold their rights to microsoft. I am boycotting Bungie Soft !

Actually, originally, it was going to be out for the MAC and POSSIBLY the PC.... Bungie was afterall a MAC based software development company, and I was closely following the development of Halo at the time. So in some ways, Microsoft buying them out was a good thing.
Atleast we're getting it. |

That can be but i was really really looking forward to Halo when they announced it a couple years back. Then the sold out to Microsoft, so Bungie made 2 groups angry, PC and MAC, blegh. Not the kind of company that deserves my hard earned money. |

I dunno, I personally own a couple Bungie titles, and I gotta say, their worth the wait no matter what. (Oni rocks, to bad it has no multiplayer, it prolly would be a lot bigger if it had) It is truely a pity it didn't go to PC & Mac right away, but it did help promo my favorite console system, the XBox, so I'm atleast happy with it. |

Yep, as a parttime Mac user, Bungie selling out to Microsoft was a heartbreak.
The fact that the Mac version has evaporated is rather annoying. (No desire for a Mac vs PC war) |

Agree, Unreal 2003 and 2004 look better than Halo (well, except the water), but that's the Xbox version. I'm not really sure about the PC version though (it seems to have not got much different with the Xbox version though, but we have to preserve our judgement until the game is actually released). And oh, I will pass this game, thanks. |
