It's just my opinion, bro 
The netcode seems fine, to me. I haven't had a problem with it, and a know a ton of 56K'ers that run it rather well. What changes will there to be to SP? More of an actual campaign, without just bots and more of a normal FPS set up with saves and everything? The AI isn't too great, I thought. It's good, but not that good. |

i really hope there will be a sp campaign that will be more like the battlefield 1942 style of controling points. but i dont think it will happen

yeah, maybe Mysterial will make the bots use translocator and dodge but they just said once that they would make the Single Player expirience more pleasant but that was a long time ago and might not be the first time Epic withdraws some statements |

netcode will be 40% more efficient and 56k players will be able to get 60 FPS instead of 40 while playing online. AFAIK the new netcode will be in UT2003's patch that will be breaking compatiblity with older versions to ensure compatibility with UT2004. |

Thanks dude, i cant see any reason why UT2004 wont rule. People learn from their "mistakes". UT2004 wont have any of the stuff people didnt like about UT2003 if you would ask me to guess.
Unreal Tournament 2004 will rule !
Tycho, you have seen it in action, do you think it will be a bigger succes then UT2003 and that the "pro's" and competitive players (clans) will like this game more then its little brother ? |

I for one can already say it's gonna be huge around here..... Everytime UO posts something, I've got swarms of people around the area asking "GIMME GIMME GIMME!".... It's like their starving for information..... and no one was really this hyped among my friends over UT2k3...
The way I look at it is, UT2k3 wet our tongue for what was going to come, UT2k4 is gonna be the main course.... and I say.... I'm hungry. |

Peoii: well... many desserts, I personally love UT2k3 because it is so complex and advanced not some mindless game where you do the same thing again and again and again and again... |

I'll try and explain (i dont really understand it 100% but here goes). When playing UT2003 with a 56K modem you would be capped at 40 FPS, as far as i know that is because more frames would get you of of sync with the server or something. People with faster connections would be able to have more FPS then a 56K-er. Now with this new netcode 56K-ers should be able to get a max of 60 FPS. This is not Hardware related just connection speed related. If your rig only can get 30 FPS max then it does not matter wich connection you have. People pls correct me if i am wrong but this is what i understood of it. |

I like it here better than in Ataris forum to many nay sayers especialy that Xan fellow 
I realy like the look of all the vehicles alot after watching the videos tuns of times which 191 has guessed their is a lot that I/you probubly havent noticed............
Their is no doubt in my mind 2004 wont be the most HARDCORE shooter to date, all the new weapon models are what I was expecting/wanted more teamplay elements.....
More player models that have a more hardcore feel ect.
I get goose bumps thinking about it  |

well did you see the spawning menu? in the raptor video when he dies? In the S3 video you can see the 7th vehicle and it looks alot like the commander chair in Natural Selection if you ask me |

as for everything else...I already know this game is gonna own!
I hope it does what you say and brings over all the old UT99 players. It's about time they move on, IMO.
The 90 new maps intrigues me the most. Probably going more for gameplay and less for eye candy so it's easier to make them? |

have you seen the latest video? its like eye candy only.!!
huge caves, with water, plants and bridges. holes in the roof for sneaky people to trow some spider mines down. 
it looks fabulous!
and you can leave that cave and get back to the rest of the level. these new maps are huge!
about the racing, woulb be cool if you can race others,a nd shoot them while racing.
and what movie did you see the 7th hidden secret vehicle? i dont think they will show us untill its out. i want prove!  |
