in november a new RATM (Rage Against The Machine) album and DVD is coming out.
RATM split up in 2000, but they still bring an album and DVD on the market. still i wont buy it, i am a BIG fan of RATM, but i dload all their music. wont hurt them anyway, couse they dont exist
like dlaoding elvis presly albums, hes death anyway, who cares... he doesnt make mony out of it does he?
i do buy my RHCP (Red Hot Chili Peppers) albums, couse they still exist, and i dont want them to stop couse they dont make enough mony. |

New development: 12 year olds mom settles out of court for $2000. RIAA spokesperson says "There will be some kids that get caught in the middle of this."
I'd like to tell him what I want him to get caught in the middle of.........
And then....was there honestly $2000 worth of IP damage done by the girl? If she downloaded 15 songs and here mom is paying $2000 I'd be pissed. I would go to the store and buy the CDs and then take the RIAA to court. |

This is just going to hurt them even worse, less people will buy CD's just out of spite. Of course, they'll just blame it on pirates again. |

you realy can sue anyone for anything.
as quoted from GTA3:
1-555-I-SUE-YOU
Sue anyone!
For anything!
And you'll probably win!
*or at least get a settlement
call us-and get ready to enjoy a life of luxury"! |

Does that mean I can call that number and sue the RIAA and put them out? I wouldn't mind that one bit... |

actually what i meant is that the 555 in the phone number means it's a fake number. that set of numbers were set aside for the movie industry to use when they needed a phone number on tv or in a movie |

you know what I do? I just download the album im interested in, and if I like enough, i'll buy it. That way, I get something that is worth the money. I learned that after I bought a Godsmack (name ANY) album about 4 years ago.... |

BLAME CANADA - http://techcentralstation.com/081803C.html
It's the sad truth, that this is going nowhere...... though, unfortunately, it's spreading to other countries (yes lalli, even your precious iceland has rumours of things like this sprouting up)
scary times..... or stupid times..... havn't decided which, though, I'm leaning towards the latter.... |

If the RIAA catches you downloading music I sincerely doubt they wil give one iota of care whether you own the CD or not. The way they are treating it right now is as if ALL mp3 music that is shared on the Internet is theirs and ALL mp3 downloading is illegal.
I do just what you do, download the album and if it's good enough I'll buy it (at a reasonable price :p) but according to the RIAA that is illegal...
Even though in court years ago they decided downloading an MP3 and deleting it within 24 hours of download is legal...wtf? |
