Well it is official. Matt Frary of Atari stopped by our forums and let us know that UT2004 is confirmed for a November release. That puts it about 3 weeks later than what I had anticipated but still leaves them on track for a late September/early October Demo date. To catch everyone up on what the demo is going to have here is a refresher. The demo is going to include Deathmatch, Capture The Flag and Onslaught maps. The reason that other game types aren't included was that Epic 'Wants to keep a little something back for the full release'. I don't mind that as I finally get to play some Onslaught very soon! Woot! |

whew! and I thought that HaloPC and UT2k4 were gonna be released at the same time!
*is thankful their not*
That'll definately be a savings on the checkbook

but if the full game comes out somewhere in "2 weeks"november, shouldent the demo be out about, now or verry soon? else you got only like 2 weeks to play the demo...

they probalby will get us a demo in the next month or so, but i dont think they will cut it that close cheetah. 2 weeks doesnt give them a long time to work out th ekinks in things  |

I think Epic have learnt their lesson from the UT2003 demo debacle: they only allowed themselves about a week or two after the demo's release to make changes to the full game based on the feedback. This time around I'm pretty sure they'll bring it out far sooner: evidenced by the fact that most of the maps in the demo have already been completed, or nearly so (from what I've heard of the UO, BU and PU playtests). I'm thinking it may well be that the demo isn't far off!!
Just so long as they don't do a Jedi Academy and release the demo after the game's gone gold . (speaking of which, I'd really like to know which sadist at LucasArts is responsible for making a delay of 3-4 weeks between the completion of the Gold copy and the game's release. Huge mistake) |

well, i hear alot of dates now. anyone got any idea when teh demo wil be out? not exactly on the date, but a far guess? anyone? |
