In what is sure to be a big boost to making P2P legit, Atari has announced that it has reached a deal with Kazaa to allow a full version video game on it's network. Now before you read into anything please read the whole post at Voodoo Extreme. I am a firm believer in P2P as a legitimate way to share files. Why pay for a ton of bandwidth you don't have to (on the developer side) when you can have fans share their own? I really hope other companies take note in this deal. |

Theyre going to put the game up for free download but you need to buy a Serial key off the website in order to play it. |

Atari has, in fact, struck a deal with the official Kazza network, to let Kazza members download the full game, but with a 6 hour time restriction. A key code can then be bought online, and the full game will be unlocked.
clap clap clap
Give Atari a round of applauds, this is the best idea any company had in the past few years.
They let us try the whole game and if we like it we buy it.
The best part is there will be no waiting lines (coff FilePlanet coff) and no waiting for the game to get to the retailers |

A: this dl is not going to be 2k4. i dont remember what geme it is but it isnt 2k4.
B: it will put something in the registry of your computer (or somewhere where it can monitor the time) and when you get to the point of no return...... it stops playing. and when you try to start it back up it will remember what time you first installed it and subtract that time from the time it is currently and if it is over 6 hours your srewed.
C: you'd be getting a divorce in about 2 hours if that happened |
