Ubi Soft have released the multiplayer-demo of their Unreal Engine-powered game XIII, which uses cell-shading techniques to give the graphics a "cartoon" feel. There is also a fix available for the previously released demo, which had some performance issues and bot problems.
This demo consists of 2 6-player maps for either Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch action.
You can compete against other players or bots over LAN and Internet.
15 weapons and an assortment of surprise armaments is available.
You can modify the screen resolution (using the left/right keys) in the "video options" menu.
The game is still under development, tweaks and improvements are expected for the final version.
Some problems may appear with display and sound, during the game with certain video cards. These problems should be solved with the final version of the game.
Download mirrors are available on the official XIII site. Props to Malo Hombre and his Atari forum thread for the heads-up.
