Thanks TyeFang for linking this in IRC:Bigger view is available by clicking on the image Smile I like the Playlist editor function, an if i'm not mistaken is there customizeable weapon crosshairs and stats I see? Otherwise I was expecting a little fancier look, but sofar it looks good, nice and easy to understand. Smile

Yeah, it's one of those annoying bugs, like the old Shock combo not working through SM's (which was fixed)

SM's = Static Meshes.

AFAIK, charged Bio balls don't explode very easily against a BV.
(BV = Blocking Volume)

although, it might be something else causing the problem...

1. why do you wanna do a combo trough a stetic mesh? they are solid arnt they?

2. i dont wanna be annoying, but what is Blocking Volume? Volume is the loudniss of the sound, and blocking is "defending, e.g. blocking a shot"

1. Ok, not exactly through the middle of a SM, but if a shock ball even grazed a SM, and then say you tried to shoot the beam through two railings (like the railings around the water in Asbestos), the shock combo wouldn't work... even though the beam clearly went through the shock ball.

I guess its better understood if you experienced the problem, and then installed the patch that contained the fix and said "HOORAY!"

2. A word can have more than one meaning.
You have made the mistake of thinking of each word separately.
Blocking (in this context) refers to blocking the player from reaching a certain area, and the "volume" is the extent of that blockage.
Hence, "Blocking Volume"

Ugh, I thought every noob knew that. Wink
(even though that definition is in my own words, I hope it gets the thought across)

Or you could think of it like this:
You know all those Static meshes in DOM-Core? The ones through the hallways that are so easy to get snagged on?
Well a BV could be used on those so that you don't get snagged.
Those static meshes have per-poly collision ATM (i think) and are terrible when it comes to gameplay, so some simple BV's would fix the snagging.
(Although its really just a fix, since they probably shouldn't have per-ply collision to begin with).

It's like an invisible collision bubble around severely detailed objects, where they would hinder gameplay otherwise.

Then there's the whole "Simple Collision Hull" thing which I don't understand very well at the moment...

ASK A PRO. THERE'S PLENTY THAT COME HERE.
BUT YOU DONT NEED TO BE A PRO TO SEE THE DIFFERENCES IN GAMEPLAY.
Afterall, gameplay is the main reason for all these fixes to the game thus far...

hmm, ok i now understand the static mesh prog.. i know what a BV is i think.. well dont try explaining me further.. Rolling Eyes
theres no point, you cna do it untill your old and grey, i wont understand Laughing
