A Delay Inevitable?

Well I had been waiting to comment on this one until I heard back from Mark Rein of Epic. I was hoping that, with the bridge building that I thought I had built with him this summer, he would answer my email and clear some things up. However it is looking like they are going back to their way of deflecting the important questions. I can say that with all of the rumblings and rumors and his evasive comments on IRC this pass weekend that UT2004 is most likely going to be delayed until sometime in 2004.

Is this a good thing in my opinion? Well yes and no. Here is how I feel about it. While I really applaud their effect to fine tune Assault and Onslaught, I fear that if it falls closer and closer to a Spring 2004 release date they will lose an huge opportunity to put up a lot of fans and that is a thought that depresses me. Hopefully they can at least put out a good demo by Christmas and hit a February release date.

I am hoping for a delay actually, i figure, whe can amuse us with UT2003 and then when UT2004 will be out it will be all it can be. This way unreal could be back in bussines again. If UT2004 "flops" like UT2003 did, we will not have another Unreal game maybe. So i say take all the time to make this game the best Unreal game ever to make sure the players will flock to the game. Plus more people will be able to play it since more people upgraded by then.

So i say, TAKE YOUR TIME EPIC !!!

well. first i dident hoped it was being delayed.. but now i dont realy care anymore if it comes 1-2 motnhs later.. i got Midnight Club 2, UT2k3 and MTA:VC 0.2.2!!!

who else here got MC2?
