So there I was, hunting around for a good free Risk clone, when what did I run across in my searches but Empire XP! Now usually, I have issues with Risk clones, as they can suck or well, suck.... But Empire XP seemed to look well enough, so I decided to give it a shot.
Much to my suprise, it's actually a very functional copy of the game. Sure, it doesn't have the animations that we all love (right?) from the purchased versions, but hey! It's free!
Usually, I spend some time explaining what the gameplay is like about this time in the article, but seriously now, it's Risk.... Who hasn't played Risk? (Editor Note: If you havn't, please, PLEASE go get yourself a copy of this classic game, and play now.) I mean really, Risk is like the mother of all strategy games, and it'd be a shame to see someone who hadn't played it.
As we can see from the following screenshot, Asia, as always, is the "ever hard to control" beast it is in the original game. Plus, this game offers 2 methods for Army attacks, a straight forward play method, and a more random way.
Well, I'd say more, but come on people, this is RISK! (Havn't I said that already?) So why don't you just head on over to the Empire XP Website and start playin some Risk! |
