Have you ever smelled a powdered donut? It smells like a paint product. However they do not taste like they smell. Strange. Well good morning all it is 4:19am EST and I am getting home from another adventurous night that is Buffalo Wild Wings. I finished up management training and I have my first solo close this week. So it will either go well or you will read about it on CNN.
One thing I want to touch on this morning is a cool article that Hal found (he and the other BU fellows are handy from time to time) about Legal Copy Protection. I am glad there is now clearer verification on what is legal and what is not. For example, my original Windows 98SE has gone the way of the Dodo a long time ago. When I noticed it was getting pretty beat up from all of the use (for a while I had a clean HD addiction which led to fresh installs every 45 days ), I made sure I did a clean image copy to a new blank CD-R. Now I still have the reciept and book for it so I can prove it was legally mine at one time. So in this case the ruling favors my practices.
Now I think everyone should have a CD writer just for reasons like this and backing up irreplaceable multimedia and older software as well. Because you never, never know what data disaster is going to strike! |
