Looks as though the Ati engineers have been working overtime lately. There are new Catalyst drivers out. The 3.8s are what, a month old, and there are new ones for us to play with. I will get back to you on whether you should upgrade or not. |

They pwnd my box. But then again, so did the 3.7 and 3.8 sets. I have been using the 3.6's for quite some time now. The 3.7-3.9 sets wreck havoc on my cpu. The load jumps from ~30% up to 100% and everywhere in between. I have to kill hardware acceleration completely just to open a frickin' folder. I was really hoping that after the last two sets had been flops for me, the 3.9s would work. I'm so tired of the old 3.6's that I am hosing my HDD tonight and starting with a fresh install of everything. I'll be damned if the 3.9 CATs still don't work. >
I hope everyone else who tries them has better luck than I. |

So far the 3.9's have been great. Still need to run UT'03 to be sure, but at least lock-on doesn't suffer from the problems it did with the 3.8-series. |
