Ok, so remember a while ago I covered a game known as Soldat? Well, I always loved that game, but I never got around to paying the $10 or so that it is to register it... So on the hunt I went. There I was thinking "That's such an addictive game, I might as well just pay for it" when what does my browser find me? But Stick Soldier!
Much like it's shareware brother Soldat, Stick Soldier is a 2D fight and kill everyone type game. Simple? Yes. Addicting? Very. And guess what? I'd bet a 386 could play this game just fine. It's very VERY graphic non-intense.
Differences from Soldat? Well, Stick Soldiers has no multiplayer that I could figure out. This is a drawback, however, they're already planning Stick Soldier 3 to be released by the end of this year, so there is hope afterall.
Controls are simple, but yet undocumented and uncustomizeable, so here, I'll fill you in on them:
Arrows - Directional Movement
N - Next Weapon
Space - Fire
Right ALT - Jump
Effectively it's a very basic game, yet it proves the old addage that the best things are those that are simple. So head on over to their website and check it out today!
NOTE: Sorry, no screenshot this time, couldn't get in touch with them in time to get a decent looking one. |
